Summary: Participation in the game of power has left Lucius Malfoy with many marks. Marcus Flint has none, and Lucius finds this appealing. But there are many complications in the course of their six year relationship ...
This was the story started for the FAP OTP Challenge 2006 -- i.e. write a story incorporating a sentence randomly generated with two characters and a connector, here "Lucius Malfoy has the hots for Marcus Flint". I intended to use it as an experimental foray into slash (not to mention dark(er)fic and present-tense narration), but didn't get it finished in time for Valentine's Day that year, and so just posted the first part. I've worked on it off and on between other projects, as it got out of hand and turned into a longish plotty story!

kennahijja to be betaed (many thanks to her for the detailed and helpful beta notes). I'm getting round to posting it at this point as parts are almost certain to be canon-shafted when DH comes out, so now or never, eh? Link is to my fic journal.
