A Breath of Fresh Air by [livejournal.com profile] melandry (PG) -- Arthur's first day at the Ministry

Photographic Memory by [livejournal.com profile] yma2 (PG) -- Colin Creevey/Gilderoy Lockhart post-war bond-building

Lyrics: The last one was the Cher classic Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves from 1971, spotted by [livejournal.com profile] pennswoods and [livejournal.com profile] superdork37. And here's another good one:

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me
(2000s)

(What? I DON'T CARE. It's a fine track from a fine album, whether emo kiddies like it or not.)

Oh, 'My Immortal' by Evanescence.

And I completely stand by your defence. I happen to like Evanescence very much ('Before the Dawn' just finished on my happily shuffling iPod, interestingly enough), and enjoy pointing out that emo kiddies do occasionally like good music. That doesn't make them any less emo.

Amy Lee does have a wonderful voice. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with having strange musical tastes. I have N'SYNC in my collection somewhere, sadly enough.

XD I also liked Evanescence since I heard them in their first CD, despite the fact that I can never consider myself emo at any point in my teenage years.

Ah-ha, I definitely remember this song clogging up the radio stations -- Evanescence, "My Immortal"!

I think there's something in the Remus/Sirius shipper statement that requires me to answer that that's Evenacence's (yeah, I can spell) "My Immortal". (Which I actually like, too.)
