[livejournal.com profile] golden_d,

otherwise known as Anne-Cara, who turns 20 today!

Lyrics: The last one was Abba's Voulez-Vous from 1979, and [livejournal.com profile] nineveh_uk, [livejournal.com profile] gilpin25, [livejournal.com profile] sugarannie, and [livejournal.com profile] lazy_neutrino all did better than the assembled teams at the Lord Nelson by spotting it instantly. :)

Another real oldie now (but according to Wikipedia it's the most covered song ever):

One of these mornings you're going to rise up singing
Then you'll spread your wings, and you'll take to the sky
But till that morning there's a'nothing can harm you
With daddy and mamma standing by
(1930s)

Summertime. Not surprised it's the most covered ever; it's one of my faves. Janis Joplin's version is one I think of, Sinatra, Billie Holiday.

Of course, it's another oldie. Must aim to get something in this decade next. ;)

"Summertime," from Porgy and Bess, music by George Gershwin. Were the lyrics by Ira Gershwin? That I don't know.

My first guess, though I've been watching this game for a while now.
