From the Daily Mirror's football coverage today:

IT'S an exciting time to be a London schoolchild - and not just because Christmas is round the corner.

One enterprising bunch of youths are anticipating a festive windfall after finding a lost mobile phone, which they correctly handed in to their form teacher.

But not before having a quick look at the photographs stored on it... and discovering several of the phone's owner, a pretty blonde girl, being entertained in several ways by a very famous, very married London footy celeb.

And the teacher? In a turn of events which would surely make Mr Chips proud, he's currently negotiating to sell the pics on behalf of his class, with whom he will split the profits.

I think we can all applaud this example of pedagogical initiative.

Lyrics: The last one was of course the Nirvana classic Smells Like Teen Spirit from 1991 (although I did enjoy Paul Anka's recent swing version, even if it is sacrilege :D) which brought back fond memories too for [livejournal.com profile] jellybellys, [livejournal.com profile] virginia_bell, [livejournal.com profile] octobersnow, [livejournal.com profile] sugarannie, and [livejournal.com profile] lareinenoire.

And because I can't resist a cornily apt one:

Well we got no class
And we got no principles
And we got no innocence
We can't even think of a word that rhymes
(1970s)
