Second, Inkwolf has updated Hogwarts Staff Meeting with another hilarious episode. (I particularly liked Winky in this one.)

Third, lyrics roundup: the last two were Brand New Key by Melanie from 1972 (spotted by

Pretty much like the people who do the Sunday night pub quiz I set about once a month, then. :) (Mind you, the younger ones don't tend to know the older stuff.)

I keep threatening to set a final identify-these-12-songs round on rap, but I might get lynched.

I think you might! My problem is that I left hom in '82, off to the wide world of studentdom back in the days when that meant no access to a telly, and I didn't listen to the radio that often. So a whole decade or so of popular culture passed me by. When I started teaching, the kids clued me in on things they liked and we lent and borrowed CDs. (That's how I discovered Muse and Stone Roses)

*snort* Yes, I've actually acquired three of his albums. He writes a mean lyric, which I like, even if it does come under the heading 'he'd be scary if you took it seriously'.
