Oooh, I should have been able to guess #17 as well, but I refuse to acknowledge that song; the title alone makes my head hurt. ;)

5. Peaches, by Clash

7. "You Picked a Fine time to Leave Me Lucille" by Kenny Rodgers and umpteen other country singers. Our family version goes:

You've had all morning, you must have had warning
But this time it really won't do
You picked a fine time to go to the loo!"

10. Leaning on a Lamppost by George Formby

12. Rosegarden, by Tammy Wynette and umpteen other country singers.

Too late! Google is my friend, I'm afraid... I could hear the wretched thing and I knew I'd have no peace! So I used my 20/20 hindsight. (It's my secret superpower.)

I like lyric rounds! But am a bit late, so most of the ones I know have gone. Still, there's one for me - 8) is the Stones, 19th Nervous Breakdown.

Good selection!

Yes, well, Ms. R's class consisted mainly of us listening to songs about history or society and not much else :D I don't think I ever cracked open a textbook that year... Parents weren't too happy about it but we all loved it.

#2 is "Lipstick on Your Collar," but I don't know if this counts because I couldn't tell you who sings it. Also, I never met anyone who actually wears baby pink lipstick, though everyone I know who wears red (with any frequency) would like leave such tacky evidence. May I also say, you have quite the eclectic taste in music. I like. You gave me a couple ideas for my MP3 player.

PS: Was going to weigh in on your interrupted dialogue conversation, but thought you seemed to have enough opinions. Any way, I'm fairly sure I have pretty bad grammar.

#18 ...I guess it's true/'Cause I'm Stone in Love With You ... and I'm guessing Sly and the Family Stone did it. ;D

Amazing - I'd never heard of any of these, except Lucille, Mr. Custer and the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy - two of which were considerably older than their last popular releases.

This is fun. I should crack out my Dr. Demento collection and do one of these. :D

Oh! Too right, and I could hear them so clearly in memory. :D
(Normalcy is overrated.)
