And since I can't Niffle her stories, I'll just recommend them here instead. May I suggest that you try Hesitation (Ron/Hermione, with complications), and Things I Have But Could Have Done Without (Remus/Tonks) -- both R/NC-17, but well done, which isn't exactly a given for fics with that rating.

Lyrics: The last one was the Vietnam-era Creedence Clearwater Revival classic Fortunate Son, which now I've looked up I see I misidentified as 1970s -- it was actually recorded in 1969. Both a_t_rain and tree_and_leaf knew it.
