NTLJ chapter 37 at FictionAlley
Aug. 30th, 2006 03:57 pmJust posted: chapter 37, Wolf at the Door, which has finally made it through the database crashes and resubmissions and onto the site. (The formatting of the author's notes at the end is screwed up, but apart from that everything's fine.)
In which Tonks meets someone for the first time (albeit while incognito), and receives some pointed advice from Kingsley Shacklebolt.
Also, Dangerous Driving is up at Checkmated (and FFN, but that's routine).
Lyrics: The last two were that real oldie Abdul Abulbul Amir from 1879 (written in the wake of the then-most-recent Russo-Turkish war, the verse I quoted was about the only one that didn't mention either him or Ivan Skavinsky-Skavar by name!), and the much more recent I Predict A Riot by the Kaiser Chiefs from 2004, spotted by

So here's another one:
I hold you in my arms as the band plays
What are those words whispered baby just as you turn away
I saw you last night out on the edge of town
I wanna read your mind and know just what I've got in this new thing I've found (1980s)
(Someone really should do an angsty Lupin/Tonks songfic to that, because -- for once! -- it would work beautifully. Then again, quite likely someone already has.)
