You know, when I first came into Fandom, as opposed to fandom (because it is surely self-evident that the writing of fanfic is a superior form of fannish activity, and I think we should dignify it with its proper name, yes?), I had of course been brought up on the stirring tales of Cassandra Claire and others. So I approached it with certain reasonable and natural assumptions.
I had the simple expectation that the production of said fanfics would result in the acquisition of legions of bimbo fangirls, who would seek me out and clamour to be admitted to my presence -- whereupon they would flatter my ego by squeeing wildly at my most offhand utterances, and then proceed to commit acts of appalling carnality upon my person.
And yet you know what? In all these years, not a single bimbo has done this. I haven't seen so much as a free laptop.
It's just not good enough. I want my money back.
Oh, all right then, I've changed my mind. I suppose I'll stick around for a bit. But GET WORKING ON THE LAPTOP DELIVERY, Y/Y? KTHXBAI
