Well, I can now say which of the Remix fics was mine. A Marauder era fic, so something of a new departure for me:
Title: The Repercussions of Having Bad Hygiene (Go Further Than You Think Remix)
Rating: PG-13
Length: 7,750 words
Characters: Severus, Regulus, Sirius, Lucius, Lily, Eileen Snape
Summary: Severus Snape has bad hygiene -- in the opinion of Sirius Black. who pointedly tells him so. Severus Snape has dirty blood -- in the opinion of Regulus Black, who unwittingly tells him so. One telling leads to the other -- and both have surprising repercussions once they all start school.
Notes: Based on: The Repercussions of Having Bad Hygiene by
rynne. Thanks to
lupinslittlesis for betaing.
darkluna was the author of the remix of my fic. Interestingly, both remixer and remixee for me are from different areas of fandom (two mutual friends for
rynne, none for
darkluna).
While I'm here, a few comments/observations in passing:
OSBP WTF BBQ? I'm not sure why anyone would think that could end well.
Some interesting (albeit probably unintentional) gender oddity at a karaoke night in the pub: a couple of songs sounded interestingly different when a woman sung them, namely Tom Jones's Delilah and the Travolta section of Summer Nights -- just as the versions I have of Don't Cha and You Oughta Know by male singers have different resonances.
The Sontaran Strategem -- clearly my spoiler-avoidance policy is working well, as I hadn't realised this was a part 1 of 2 and was wondering half-way through how it was going to complete in the time available. Seems very much a setup for part 2, so comments best reserved for then, I think.
