Doctor Who seasons that link together? And a three-parter -- length equivalent of the old six-parters -- to finish? Haven't seen that very often ...

Well, the Big Reveal is done -- yes, Saxon = The Master, as a lot of people seem to have expected if they read the fansites. I did like the way it was done -- the chameleon thingy seems a lot better when it's suddenly more than just something to set up a "Doctor in Love" plotline. And of course it allows for the possibility of there being other Time Lords who used the same trick -- it would be nice to see Romana, or even the Meddling Monk! And it shows the prestige of the new show that they managed to get in an Actor to play the part, although oddly enough I thought Tennant outacted him here.

I wasn't exactly enthusiastic keen on the return of Captain Scarlet, Indestructible! Jack, but they used the character well here, and will presumably continue to do so when they get back to 21st century Earth (using his Space Hopper method, presumably?).

Anyone else expecting a return to the Utopia rocket flight, either at the end of this season or sometime in the next one, in the same way as the New Earth storyline was developed?

Saxon = The Master - oh, brilliant!

I am so looking forward to seeing this.

Like you, not so keen on bloody Captain Jack reappearing but you can't have everything.

Sadly, we don't have satellite yet so a kind English friend lends us his DVDs. It'll be a while before I catch up.
