NTLJ status report
Oct. 18th, 2006 07:00 pmSince it's been a while since an update at either site, a few notes and apologies -- I've had a rather busy last few weeks (through my usual habit of leaving things until the last minute) and didn't have the chance to do much work on it. However, I've now cleared the major things I needed to finish, so the current situation is as follows:
Chapter 38 (Let's Face The Music And Dance) has FINALLY been submitted to FictionAlley. Unfortunately, I can't use the "queue bypass" system, as in the current state of the software it's not possible to be listed as both a Niffler and a queue-bypasser, so it may take a week or so for it to filter through the system. I also had to edit the chapter (to change a scrambled "smart quote" inadvertently left in the title into a normal quote), so it probably won't appear in the Chapter Owls. I will as usual post a note here and on the Park forums when it's up though.
Chapter 40 is completed and basically ready to post at CoS Forums, subject to a read through and tweak. However, I've taken the opportunity to write ahead, and now have the remaining two chapters in the detailed "script" format I use as the intermediate between outline and actual story. So hopefully I can get the damn story finished and posted fairly quickly now without further trying everyone's patience, including my own. :)

Date: 2006-10-18 08:01 pm (UTC)I've made no progress with any writing since about Sep 20.* The cold/antibiotics thing annihilated my brain. But I'm waking up now.
*apart from the Famous Five and that was on the day I had off work - not through illness, but because our surgery won't allow bookable appointments, so you have to phone after 8.30, so you have to commit to a day off to make the phone call. This appointment system is nuts. But, there - I got some writing done.
