Most of these are perforce from Nymphadora Tonks and the Liquor of Jacmel -- I was surprised to find when I looked back at my other stories that there weren't all that many OCs in them (quite a few obscure CCs, but that's not the same thing). Anyway, from NTLJ:

1) Who would make a better college professor, 6 (Charlotte Perks) or 11 (Harper)? What subjects would they teach?
Charlotte, by a long way! Harper's not an academic type, while she's a pretty smart cookie. I can imagine her teaching a law or history course with emphasis on civil liberties.

2) Do you think 2 (Rhiannon Davies) is hot? How hot?
She's meant to be fairly nice-looking but not stunning. However, she's a decent sort with plenty of personality, so I probably would fancy her.

3) 12 (Sandra Bellingham) sends 8 (Nathan Arkwright) on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
She sends him in search of a fabulous creature that's been reported, and that he says he can get a photograph of. He succeeds by the simple expedient of stepping into his own back yard and taking one.

4) What is or would be 9's (Bill Redderton) favourite book?
Erm ... possibly The Da Vinci Code?

5) Would it make more sense for 2 (Rhiannon Davies) to swear fealty to 6 (Charlotte Perks), or the other way around?
It wouldn't make sense either way. Charlotte would pitch a fit at the idea, and I can't exactly see Rhiannon going for it either.

6) For some reason, 5 (Angelica Hallendale) is looking for a room mate. Should they share a studio apartment with 9 (Bill Redderton) or with 10 (Melanie)?
Hmm ... good question. Actually, she might get on better with Bill, who's also a cynical type with lots of tales to tell. Melanie's somewhat idealistic and would probably find Angelica rather shocking.

7) 2 (Rhiannon Davies), 7 (Will Poppleford) and 12 (Sandra Bellingham) have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Heh. See 10 -- Rhiannon takes them out to a restaurant and has a Friendly Official Word that her proposed bestseller contravenes the Statute of Secrecy.

8) 3 (Donnacha O'Gregan) challenges 10 (Melanie) to a duel. What happens?
He wins, easily. Far more skill, experience, and natural talent for this sort of thing.

9) If I stole 8's (Nathan Arkwright) most precious possession, how would she/he get it back?
I think that was a plotline in NTLJ, sort of. :)

10) Suggest a title for a story in which 7 (Will Poppleford) and 12 (Sandra Bellingham) both attain what they most desire.

11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 (Benjamin Farley) and 1 (Cassius Scrimgeour) to work together?
Something along the lines of 48 Hours, probably -- Farley has to help Cassius on a case to keep his arse out of jail.

12) If 7 (Will Poppleford) visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
Uncomfortably. Will's a decent enough chap, but he's not supposed to be that interesting. (Then again, I'm not the most talkative bloke myself.) But you never know, he might have some good stories from the Department to tell.

13) If you could command 3 (Donnacha O'Gregan) to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
Uh ... not sure. I wouldn't mind a loan of that invisibility cloak though (I'm sure he could tell K it was lost somewhere in the course of duty).

14) Do you think 9 (Bill Redderton) and 4 (Benjamin Farley) could be friends? Why or why not?
Not really. Farley would probably be too scared that Redderton would bust him for something.

15) If 2 (Rhiannon Davies) had to choose sides between 4 (Benjamin Farley) and 5 (Angelica Hallendale), which would it be?
Good question. Not sure of the answer. :) I think she might have to toss a Galleon to decide.

16) What might 10 (Melanie) shout while charging into battle?
I suppose "For Mum and Dad!"

17) If you chose a song to represent 8 (Nathan Arkwright), which song would you choose?
"If I could talk to the animals ..."

18) What might be a good pick-up line for 2 (Rhiannon Davies) to use on 10 (Melanie)?
Why do I always get ones which go against the known sexuality of at least one character? Oh well, let's say "work with me and I'll show you the ropes" (suggestive eyebrow wiggle).

19) What would 5 (Angelica Hallendale) most likely be arrested for?
Many things! Tonks nearly busted her at the World Cup for ignoring the regulations, and frankly what she and Hank got up to in the Caribbean could have got them both arrested on numerous occasions.

20) What is 7's (Will Poppleford) secret?
He's a bit of a loser with lousy pulling skills? See 10 again.

The Noel Coward song is brilliant, and the verse about the parachutist rather reminds me of the Dad's Army episode where the platoon had to guard the U-boot crew.

I really liked that meme...if I had made up more than, say, three OCs, I would borrow it :P

Yes, same theme. :) (Although apparently by the end of the war the Home Guard were quite an effective fighting force. Mind you, by then they weren't going to be needed anyway.)
