snorkackcatcherA bit of mild bragging: my team are now both the General Knowledge Quiz and the Sports Quiz champions of the local quiz league, apparently the first time it's been done. At last! I can quit with a clear conscience now. :)
Three close matches from the quarter-finals onward, and finally in the ... er, final, I had a decent game and got us across the finish line by knowing the name of the art movement founded by Matisse. See, that History of Art course I went along to as a favour to someone (and then found I enjoyed it) actually worked! Oh yes, and the winning question in the semi also fell nicely: "Whose godfather is Sirius Black?" Obviously I pounced on that like a lion on an antelope. :)
