Various odds and ends.
Firstly, a curiosity that left me somewhat baffled. When I submitted Preventive Medicine to FictionAlley, I got an email back saying it had been accepted, but ...
Secondly, on an unrelated note, quite by accident I recently came across a fun little fic called A Kingsley Christmas, which is *drumroll* Kingsley/Tonks! Yay! I knew there had to be one somewhere! :D (And I swear that the wand holder in NTLJ had nothing to do with the wand concealer in this one. It is a very obvious idea, after all.)
Thirdly, a story about the OotP film in the paper yesterday featured the still of The Kiss, and mentioned that Dan and Katie had apparently required about 30 takes to get the scene right. It's just write-your-own-punchline time, isn't it? :D
Lyrics: And finally, yesterday's Back to the Future-inspired song was Year 3000 by Busted from the year ... er, 2003, spotted by
sugarannie. Hmm, posting more often does get through them! Here's an old classic album track, then:
It's the same old story
Everywhere I go, I get slandered, libeled,
I hear words I never heard in the Bible
And I'm one step ahead of the shoe shine
Two steps away from the county line (1970s)

We noticed that you have given your fic a rating of R. However, it actually would only need to be rated PG. The fic is written vaguely enough that one could interpret it as not even referring to sexual activity at all. There is therefore no need to keep teenagers under 17 from reading the fic. If you'd like to change the rating, you can easily do so by going to your story management page and clicking on [edit] next to the fic's title.Oh rly? Erm, this is a fic referring to sexually transmitted diseases (or curses, whatever -- one good reason for it being vague is that I didn't feel like researching or inventing specific symptoms, especially as it was just a short comedic oneshot where the details didn't really matter). Normally I tend to be fairly liberal in setting borderlines for PG-13/R (or indeed R/NC-17) but I'd kind of assumed that this subject was automatically R, however vaguely treated. I could buy PG-13, but PG? On the whole, I wouldn't fancy being the embarrassed Parent offering Guidance to a puzzled ten year old on this one ...
