NTLJ chapter 39 at FictionAlley
Nov. 4th, 2006 08:25 pmChapter 39, Old Sins Cast Long Shadows, is now posted at FictionAlley. In which Tonks explains her new theory to Cassius, who has a confession to make, and in which they have more than one uncomfortable encounter. Chapter 40 to be submitted shortly (I intend to get the last few into the queue ASAP).
Lyrics: The Halloween lyric was David Bowie's Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps) from 1980, which seemed appropriate --
lazy_neutrino knew it.
Here's one I used for tomorrow's pub quiz (because I needed songs with baseball terms in the titles for a semi-topical connection, hint hint(*)) -- I'd never really listened to the lyrics before, but I couldn't resist mentioning them here:
Sweetness, sweetness I was only joking
When I said I'd like to smash every tooth in your head
Oh ... sweetness, sweetness, I was only joking
When I said by rights you should be bludgeoned in your bed
And now I know how Joan of Arc felt
Now I know how Joan of Arc felt
As the flames rose to her roman nose
And her Walkman started to melt (1980s)
A theme song for persecuted shippers everywhere. :D
(*) Yes, I know it's Bonfire Night tomorrow -- but I did a separate section of songs with Fifth of November-y connections.
