Recs and things

So, just a few notes on a couple of fics that I've recently read:

Firstly, The Floo Bill by AsylumCat. Summary: Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair are confused about their Floo bill. A Mr. S. Black has been using the fireplace, but the only other residents are the Jarvey and their large dog, Harold...

Had to mention this ... spotted in the Chapter Owls, and proved to be the only HP fic I've ever found that's set in Torquay, where I live. Even if it is FawltyTowers!Torquay. :)

More conventionally, the latest (and long) chapter of Lady Cassie's Harry Potter and the City of Woe, sequel to the legendary Harry Potter and Dumbledore's Feint, is here. If you haven't read either, start with Dumbledore's Feint (or else you'll be both spoilered and rather confused), get past the slowish start and misspellings, and find both some seriously good drama and some excellent comedy. The latest City of Woe chapter has many wondeful moments, and the final section (a Ministry occasion from Ron's POV) is absolutely priceless.

NTLJ chapter 22 at FictionAlley

Chapter 22, The Morning After The Night Before has just been posted on Schnoogle. In which the Aurors are called in to hear what the Department proposes to do about the World Cup fiasco, Tonks & Co find that at least one of the villains they were interested in wasn't too distracted by the Quidditch to commit a crime, and Tonks has a bright idea.

Also, part XXXVIII at Chamber of Secrets is nearly ready to go (yes, that's the one with the beauty parlour scene - I can't believe it's been two weeks since I wrote that). It will probably work out to be something like chapter 29 at FA.
